Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year.  The staff and I welcome you and your children to our school. We look forward to cooperatively working with you to provide a positive and successful learning experience for your children throughout this coming year.

We welcome and invite you as parents and guardians to visit us and become familiar with all phases of the school program. We encourage you to get acquainted with your children’s teachers, as well as with the staff in the office. A strong parent/teacher/staff relationship facilitates effective communication which in turn positively impacts your children’s academic performance. We also invite you to join us as a school volunteer. There are various needs in our school for your contributions of time and talents.

The handbook outlines our school’s approach to various aspects of our education program as well as the District’s policies and procedures relevant to our school setting. Your understanding and support of these policies and procedures will help us establish a school environment that is respectful, conducive to learning and that ensures the safety and welfare of students.

We want your children to have a successful and rewarding school year. By combining all of our efforts in a partnership, this can be an exciting time of growth for us all.
